Instructor Opportunities:

We are always interested in hearing about new enrichment program ideas!

Contract Instructors teach afterschool, weekend, and/or summer classes.
Classes are short-term, with each instructor teaching 1 to 3 classes per year (or 5 - 30 hours per year).

Contract teaching at the Lyceum is a great way to gain teaching experience for people going into education fields, or for non-education specialists to give something back to their community and the children of Monterey County. Retired teachers are also highly encouraged to apply!

Pay is generally $30.00 per hour of teaching with some exceptions made depending on topic, experience, and audience (please inquire).
