Digital Photo Camp

  • The Lyceum of Monterey County 1073 Sixth Street Monterey United States (map)

Discover Digital Photography with this fun and hands-on Summer Camp. This camp will help you succeed in making beautiful photographs and understand how your camera works to capture light and motion.

This camp offers hands-on learning, daily lessons, walking field-trips, and an introduction to Adobe Lightroom to post-edit their photographs. Topics covered are the exposure triangle a.k.a. manual camera functions (ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture), depth of field, and motion. Students will have an understanding of how the camera interprets light and we will discuss composition techniques students can apply to their daily image making.

We will explore taking pictures of a variety of subjects, focusing on topics such as black and white, color, shapes, textures, leading lines, landscape and portraits.
*Students should be comfortable walking for a good part of the day.
