Butterflies, Bees, and Bugs: A Paper Mache Study in Winged Creatures

An artist exploration into things with wings.
This two-day workshop takes an up-close and personal look at the unique structure of bees and butterflies, and how they fly. In the first session, students will choose one, review it’s special qualities, and make a large ‘skeleton’ using recycled products. We will then cover it with paper maché and allow to dry. During the next class, we will paint, decorate, and review options to hang the work.
