Nature's Inspiration and MeCards

During this 2.5 hour workshop, Lisa Handley will gently guide and encourage participants as they gather images of animals, plants and landscapes, create nature-inspired MeCards and write accompanying poems in the “voices” of their collaged cards.  MeCards represent parts of a child’s self, express feelings and interests, honor family, friends, pets and heroes, tell a story and more.  These personal cards become a visual version of a diary or journal.

The fun and engaging creative process of MeCards4Kids™ encourages self-expression, awareness and acceptance.  The “I Am” poem consists of prompts to stimulate imagination and incorporates senses, emotions and intellect.  Similar to its parent process of SoulCollage® (for older children and adults), MeCards4Kids™ opens doors to children’s inner worlds and offers them opportunities to discover, appreciate and embrace different facets of themselves.  Parents can also enjoy the views!
