Introduction to Mindfulness - Middle School Students and their Parents

Mindfulness and compassion -- being aware and being kind -- continue to gain recognition as pathways to increasing clarity, connection and well-being in all areas of daily life. Improvement in academic performance, emotional regulation, physical health, and interpersonal relationships are some of the research-based benefits.
In this 4-week course, middle school students and their parents will be engaged through guided meditation, teaching, discussion, and activities to develop awareness and management of thoughts and emotions, learn to identify and work with stressors, and cultivate self-compassion and kindness.
