Japanese symbols and designs lend themselves to working with Sharpie marker on Bristol paper.  After looking at examples, we will use circle grids, rulers and French curves to create our own symbols.  Black and white construction paper will also lend an aspect of training the eye to the wonders of working with positive and negative images.
