The Monterey Bay Area, with its cool coastal weather, is the perfect place for growing succulents—and with their wide array of color and form, they are wonderful subjects for botanical drawing and painting. Join science illustrator Erin E. Hunter for an afternoon of sketching and painting succulents, using pencil, ink, watercolor and colored pencil. We'll discuss plant anatomy, color mixing and layering different media to create still life paintings of these lovely plants. All skill levels welcome; materials list available upon registration.
